I've been messing around with different pieces of gear lately trying to see if I could ameliorate my sound or find something that would get my sound the best.
Now we all know that the first step is to find the instrument first. Of course you need to plug it through something in order to see if it sounds the way you want and there's the first problem unless you can find a complete neutral and natural sounding source at the store.
Now, assuming that you did manage to find a neutral source or you just plugged into 25 different amps and you always like the sound of the instrument, you now need to find something that will translate your sound to the audience. You need an amp and a cab.
In my opinion, the cab is the other piece of gear you want to be as accurate and precise as possible in order to exactly project the sound you intended of getting by choosing your bass and the amplifier.
Sooo.... what is your choice of a cab, let's say a 4x10 that would fit these requirements?
