Squier 60's Vibe P-Bass

I think it sounds great like it is. It's got more of a 60's sound than most old basses I've played.
Congrats!!!! There are sooooo many options you have, it's truly dizzying.
Fender American Vintage, Lindy Fralin, Nordstrand, Bartolini, and the list goes on and on.
You will have some luck searching through the "Pickup & Electronics" forum on this site(I'll be surprised if this doesn't end up there). This topic has been covered extensively.

Um rio grande i had the vintage ones and liked them. I have the 50's classic vibe and the frets are so tiny i think i am going to wear through them in a year or so.

Have you changed the strings? The D'Addario's that come on those basses are really bad. I changed mine out for some DR's and it really made the bass shine.
The neck is to die for, isn't it? Best feeling P bass neck out of the entire Fender line, IMO of course.
I liked the pickups, and didn't see a need for replacement(they are alnico V's). The only real weakness was the cheesey fake reverse tuners. Replace them with a set of Gotoh reverse tuners and you'll be set. The necks have a profile close to Pre-Cbs precisions, I have to agree with eaglemoon that they are the best feeling current P-necks.
I know its your opinion but have you ever tried the Fender AV 57 or AV 62 Ps. Those are pretty awesome necks with true Fender thickness/surupy sound. I also own a CV 60's P and love it but I think the ultimate will still remain the AV 62 P for me.

It's all personal opinion, but to me that AV 62 P is nothing special. I much prefer the CV P.
The particular example of a CV 60's P I played the other day had an unbelievably thin, (front to back) neck. A bit too thin for my personal tastes. My Pre CBS neck is thin (front to back) but not that thin.
I have to agree that the AV necks are the nicest of the current Fenders with the American Standard not far behind. Both of those feel like propper P basses to me. The CV would be great if you like 'em on the skinny (front to back) side though. I also like the finish on the CV. Felt very good.
Have to admit that it was a nice playing bass, and had a good feel, even though I found the neck to be a bit too skinny for my personal tastes.
Played a 50's CV P as well, and that one had a big ol thick baseball bat neck on it. The difference between the two was pretty drastic.
Both examples were quite nice for the price.
