Squier Affinities no longer say "Affinity"??

Perhaps they no longer have an affinity for that name.
Part of their transition to the new "Disaffected" line.
Not having "Affinity " on the headstock gives players plausible deniabuilty....

So are they not an affinity bass? I guess that could make my fankenstien affinity a collectors item
Sonic is the new lowest price Squier. Affinity is a notch up from those in price.

I'll admit to judging with my eyes. I played one of these:

and was quite impressed in the store, not bad for a Squier etc.. When I found out it was an affinity, there was no way I was paying good money for a "cheap" Squier.

i think Debut's are Amazon only, i played a Debut strat and was amazed at how decent it was, needed a feew tweaks on bridge saddles and nut slots but really decent out of the box, especially compared to Squier's i've tried over the years with frets sprouted out so far as to be WMD's suitable for fighting terrorists

I don't recall the Affinity name ever on the PJ's. This is a 2024 MIC model. Of course only the neck and body are original at this point. But the neck is butter!
Happened a while back. I remember a post where someone called it the "Affinity tramp stamp".

The Race Red Squier PJ I bought in 2017 definitely had the small Affinity logo on the headstock, it looked like a nod to the "OFFSET Contour Body" decal on '60s offset Fenders.
Debut, Sonic, Affinity, Vintage Modified, Classic Vibe ........ none of those series' names are on the headstock.
Well, it looks like Sterling's new "Intro Series" has the name up there on the headstock. Thankfully, a little acetone will wipe that right off..............
I once had a big slab of maple that had been used for all the series of Squier necks. Now, THAT sure created a big issue, where the maple family became divided. "Oh, I see you're an "Affinity"........ hmmph", said the Classic Vibe.
And I'll be the one to say, "some of the nicest necks I've played were from the Affinity series". My only issue is that I can't remember what country they were manufactured in.........
