Funny thing is that the only Precision Bass I ever played that was comfortable for me to play (I'm a Jazz Bass guy), was my grandson's Squier Affinity P-bass with P/J pickups. After showing him a few things on it, I realized I was fairly comfortable with the wider neck. That's when I realized that the wide neck was a slim neck, similar to the thickness of my Jazz. So my aversion to wide necks is actually an aversion to thick necks. Funny that the least expensive Squier P-bass was the best feeling P-bass I have ever played and if I had to play a P-bass, that would be my choice to play.Not having "Affinity " on the headstock gives players plausible deniabuilty....![]()
