Well, I finally had time to go into the city where there's a music shop and picked up two packs of Ernie Ball Super Slinky's, threw a set on this morning after work and the buzz is gone. I did crank down the bridge screws when I had the strings off for the change, but they were already fairly tight.
Seems like the issue was the strings, as the buzzing appears to have stopped. I'll practice hard for a week and see if any issues recur with the new strings.
