squier bullet?

I went into a music store and saw a bass that I never tried before or seen. Its the Squier Bullet bass. This one was made in the 1980's in Japan. I went home and looked online but couldnt find any info I was hoping someone on here knew about It. I am wondering if I is worth 350 bucks used and also if it is near the same level as my MIM fender standard jazz? If you know something about this bass please help.

They're supposed to be either hot or cold for playability. They really represent a collector's item I feel at this point - hence the big price tag.

I love an underdog as much as the next guy - and even though this is a MiJ, I don't think it's worth that much - but you'd have to play it to find if it makes your heart race or not.

I found a Bullet guitar once in a pawn shop - and it was about the same price as this bass you found.

If it sings for you, then buy it - but I think there were technical issues with them and they weren't really favored at the time - and I don't think is was just the nameplate on it.

Nameplates are a big red herring anyway - and if you would be embarrass to hold a bass that wasn't a full-on decaled Fender, then it's not for you either.

I owned one. It was pure awesomeness. One of the most comfortable necks I've played, and deep bass. The only problem was the single-coils hummed like hell. If I saw one, I would definitely buy it again (and maybe shield that sucker).

I've owned a black one for many years and I do like it. I haven't seen one for sale in a while, but the last one that I did see for sale was in a pawn shop maybe 4 or 5 years ago. It was in good shape and was priced at something like $600-$800. So, based upon that, you might have a pretty good deal depending on condition etc.

I have one, great bass. I've tried to sell it here for less than $300 and no bites. For that kind of money, it's a great keeper

I have three (all black ones) and they all play great. Got them strung with different strings and I defretted one too. Great players, and comfortable. I've paid $100 (live auction), $200 (in person at a music store), and $300 (shipped to me from a music store two states away). $350 would be about the max limit for me.

I seen them go around 300$ , i would pay 300$ tops for one. I would say the quality of them is about that of the new classic vibe series but they go used for more because of the age.
