I almost forgot....if it's even possible maybe stack one control and wire up a B-M-N option? I would need an electronics whizz to draw me up THAT schematic!

Squier Cabronita Cheep!

Nice! I'd LOVE try a Curtis Novak Darkstar. The fact is, I already have a spare NIB FideliTron pickup, and would only need to get one more to attempt a Triple Humbucker Cabronita.
For that matter, I also have two Peavey T60 humbuckers I could use in this project.

Well, if you decide to rid yourself of that extra fidelitron, let me know! Also, if you to this three pickup mod, you will also probably want a B/N option. You are gonna need lots of wiring!

Anyone know offhand if the fidelitrons are standard Gretsch size? As in, would a normal Gretsch pickup bezel/surround fit?
Don't you guys know ANYONE in the States that could help you out and re-ship it to you? Seems like it wouldn't add too much to the end cost.
You're absolutely right. If I really wanted to make the purchase I could probably contact my wife's cousin stateside and make arrangements. I just can't be arsed to do that. If I were to buy a Cabronita, I'd also like to hold out for a red one or the tobacco burst. I don't even need another bass. What am I talking about?!?
Oh, you DO need a Cabronita Precision Bass. Trust me. And the CAR and 2TSB's are lovely indeed. If you need to rationalize the purchase, they are their own beast, and nothing like anything you have already I'm sure. You do need one. How's the buyers guilt now? Heh heh heh....
The Cabronita neck is the best neck I've ever come across. My Fender cab neck has been on several different bodies. The bodies have come and gone but the neck remains. The Squier cab I briefly had felt just as good. Visually, I love the tele headstock and ergonomically, the shape is perfect for me.
I believe so. I believe the Squier neck is same as CV50's Squier neck so a little thicker than modern C but not as chunky as the Fender Cabronita version.
Also the Fender version has a glued on maple fretboard where the Squier is 1 piece I believe...but I'm often wrong lol.
For the record fellow canucks, you can ship to a UPS Store near the border and drive down and pick it up. I think they hold it for roughly $5 / day for a week or so. You might owe some taxes at the border if the guy figures out you just got it. Hah Road Worns would be awesome for that!
