Squier classic vibe 70s active pickup swap

Just grabbed this new squier model(mainly for the beautiful neck)I’ve got a new set of Tom Brantley’s I was going to throw in a different bass, can they be installed into this bass? It has an active/passive switch , not too knowledgeable about the rest of the preamp/preamps in general
I plan on doing some other little mods too but I just want to know in general if it could be done or if I would have to change other components out

I would not do that. You have to rout the cavity, change controls and install active electronics just to make the vintage character to disappear

I’m confused about the routing part, the pickups are standard jazz size which it already has, and it has active electronics installed already(9v battery and all that) it currently comes with noiseless pickups if I remember correctly, I just wasn’t sure if I could drop these in there instead of the noiseless jazz pickups it comes with

Ah ok, i understand. Yes, you can change the pickups. I would check the output if they are kinda in the same range of the original noiseless in order to not overpower the signal with the preamp. But since brantleys are classic they should not cause any problem
