I have had the reverse P in mind for years, it's not a done deal though I figured if I'm gonna hog out some wood a reverse P would be interesting...Are you planning on going "reverse-P" on the split-coil? If not, or unless you're gunning for an integrated control plate, I'd strongly recommend using a Reggie Hamilton guard as a template.

The neck is fine, but I've been giving serious consideration to switching it out with...drum-roll, please...the neck of the 2019 Classic Vibe Jazz I bought to harvest the neck from. It's currently living on my "Sienna Projekt" and while it looks, in my opinion, stellar, I think the warm, amber tinting would match nicely with that lovely Blueburst Jazz body.@Malak the Mad that pj project is killer! I'll have to double back and check that thread out, well done!

Little project today. The final tweak to my 2013 white CV Jazz, I rolled the G string side of the fretboard and rounded off all the fret ends plus polished all frets. Feels like a boutique bass now. So my list of tweaks is: Hipshot Ultralite tuners, Dunlop straplocks, DiMarzio UltraJazz pickups, Sprague Orange Drop capacitor and Switchcraft socket, sanded off the gloss on the back of the neck.... I think I'm done. It just looks like any white Squier Jazz but balances, feels, plays and sounds as good as any of the 7 or 8 MIA Fenders I've ever owned. I set the neck relief to 10thou, the nut slot clearance on 1st fret to 15thou, the G string at 17th fret to 1/16" and the E string to 5/64". Plays like butter! I'm a happy camper.

If I didn't already have a P and a J I was super happy with, these would be highly tempting (despite the sellers' insistence they won't ship up here to Canadia). Alas, I am supremely satisfied with my basses, and have no need for another. Or any amps. Or any pedals.

I passed up a pretty well used CIC CV recently for $350, prices when they do show up for these
(not super often) are $350-450.
I think I paid $299 new and around $250 for my used CIC's. As great as they are I can't see paying that much for dinged up and/or tarnished CIC when I already have such nice examples.

Agreed. Incredibly don’t need another one. But those examples look pretty good . I know the red one is listed as stock. Not always easy to come by.
I think the prices are good . I’ve seen them go for $700 give or take $50. I’d pay their asking price for a stock one in good condition. Especially the fiesta red.
My guess is this is a CV. I don't think Squier did this type of tint on the Affinity basses. If so, probably a good deal for someone in the Houston area.

Oh for sure, the ones listed look great and I know are most likely worth every penny. In hindsight I should have made an offer on the one locally for $350, I've been thinkin about adding a reverse split coil to a CV J, CVRPJ, lol.
Plan was to find a Mark Hoppus PG, could have been a contender.
I saw that one and considered jumping on it. But I decided to pay $550 for a MIC fiesta red instead. That’s how much I like the MIC classic vibes, and also how much I like Pino I guess. It’s currently “out for delivery”. That’s definitely a good price for that bass though. I’d like to find one of those Olympic White bodies to build a parts bass.
If it were a little closer to me I would already have picked it up, if it isn't too heavy. I'm looking for a P body to put a fretless neck on.
Very cool! Hope it is delivered without issue. I did a parts bass with an Olympic White CV Body, cts pots, cloth wiring, orange drop cap, Fender 60's pick ups and Fender mim replacement neck. It sounds incredible and is one of my best players without a doubt!
