Found a 2009 CiC CV60s Jazz for 450 shipped. Is that a good deal?

I already have an American Std Jazz and a Tokai Hard Puncher so I *think* I’ve got enough basses. But this one has got me wondering…

I sold my NOS CIC CV70P with 600+ bucks in excellent condition.

Brand new CV60J street price around 270 in 2009. If the bass in excellent stock condition and weight less than 9lbs, I will offer seller for 400 bucks.

Funny, but mine was "brand new" when I bought it, had been sitting in the shop since 2015.
Mine is 9.5 lbs.
Not heavy compared to this one.

You should give it a try.

Btw, most CIC CV60J weight over 9lbs, my previous one weight 10+lbs.
If you able fget one less than 9lbs absolutely a good find.

Those look pretty cool, but I'd want to see them in person first. I've been looking for one of these that plays really well. I've gone through two and both of them have wonky truss rods, very close to being stripped out, and the necks are a bit finicky. I'm trying to find one that would provide low action all the way up the neck.

I recall that all my new bought CIC CV60J,60P ,50P and nos 70P has great neck along with great factory fret work .
Allow my favourite action from 1.8mm E to 1.5mm on G via .010 neck relief without single fret buzz across entire fretboard.

My current used 2014 MF P neck with Fender classic 70P body, action setup possible down to 1.6mm E to 1.25mm G , Labella LTF4A with medium plucking hand without fret buzz .

Wishing you able find a great piece of CV60J soon.

I love CIC Squier neck and their vintage fret wires are my favourite too. Due to their great build , comfort playing feel and neck profile (except CIC CV50P neck ) , even current Fender player P ( been own 2 ), still has no such great feel that CIC CV60P has. Sharp fretboard edge are one of the worst part on Player P.

I found a china seller from Taobao.com who provide great CNC cut anodized pickguard quality. He mention me that he use his US strat and tele pickguard as development blueprint ，J and P from others bandmate.

He run the business just a while ago on taobao, later moving to Aliexpress with store name Shop910717100 store. After he listen my suggestion and i make his a new store name/logo , now he create another store which only focus on USA/Mexico spec anodized pickguard.

Thank you so much! I have been on the lookout for a cheap-ish anodized pickguard for quite a while. These ones seem to fit the bill.

Anodized pickguard installed.

Compare to Musiclily/Kaish pickguard, the APC (anodized pickguard custom) pickguard look more golden like original fender anodized pickguard.

The pickguard edge are smoother on APC too. Meanwhile the APC are thinner than Musiclily/Kaish pickguard which very close to fender spec.

But, I have a problem when install it, the neck pocket side are very tight . After some sand paper trim , she fit very well.
All pickguard screws holes are 100% well aligned on Fender Classic 70s P body.
