If I may ask, when you say ICS Squier, ICS stands for what ?
I think is for Indonesian Crafted... my guess

If it’s priced right I think it should sell, the lacquer crack is relatively easy fix.

Good luck with the sale, it sounds like you were able to get it playable again.
Nice job a good effort and a nice save…

Got it, thanks. Thanks for your nice comment
Indonesian Cortek Squier (3 firsts letter on the serial number)
Got it, thanks.
I also tend to stay away from Indonesian necks because the nut for the truss rod is often made out of cheap steel that can barely be adjusted once without stripping.
I saw that on many different Squier and Samick basses.

Thos crack
Agreed. They are very hit or miss. My VM Squier Jazz neck from 2017 is somewhat stable after having to adjust the neck to where I want it for the 3rd time![]()
Yes, it sounds like the truss rod nut (the part your allen wrench goes into) is rounded out. Either you or a previous owner used the incorrect sized wrench and wrecked it.Yes i do check those websites just in case from time to time.
Can anyone help with my truss rod thing? Is there possibly a bit missing from my truss rod where the alen key would fit?

Yea it is a little tricky that’s why I mentioned the flashlight. I use the flashlight to illuminate the cavity and then turn my phone upside down so…i tried to take pictures with flash for U all but cant angle the camera well enough to see anything..
Do you check leboncoin even from Spain?
So I listed it for sale after changing the pickup (with a Chinese one 6.9kOhm with vintage clothed wires, AlNiCo V that does sound fantastic!) and after the neck was heat-straightened by a qualified luthier. It's stable and straight with 45-95 flats or 45-100 rounds. But people won't buy it because of the lacquer crack on the back of the neck, I'm pretty certain.

Which year is your CV bass body and is the MIM neck maple, rosewood or pau? What’s up guys. I have a classic vibe 60s jazz bass body that I put a mim neck on to use as a backup jazz bass. I like the bass itself for being a parts bass, but I just don’t get along with the pickups. I see why people like them, but they are just too bright for my taste. I’m sure some of you guys have replaced the stock pickups on these, so I’m looking for some ideas. I like the pups in my 2012 MIA special run jazz bass, very thumpy, but I want something different (I like variety) I’d also like to keep the price under $200, what do yall got for me? I primarily use flats
I did put some Dimarzio Model J in a jazz bass and they brought more of everything. What’s up guys. I have a classic vibe 60s jazz bass body that I put a mim neck on to use as a backup jazz bass. I bought the neck in 2019 as a Genuine Fender Replacement neck from a dealer on reverb for another build that didn’t go anywhere, I kept it for the nice flame on it, definitely worth keeping for $200 at the time. I got the body in 2022, it was brand new from a private seller on reverb fully loaded for $200. I don’t have that much invested so far, so a new set of pups for around another $200 will give me something real nice for less than a new MIM fender.Which year is your CV bass body and is the MIM neck maple, rosewood or pau?
