Squier Classic Vibe Club (Part 3)

I'm genuinely impressed by the quality of these Squier Antiguas. Absolutely top-notch, no doubt about it. A true chef's kiss! 🤌🏾

Are they ISS or ICS ? I would say ISS, regarding your comment. I hope I'm not wrong.
 But that's good that we got good Squiers going on again... I've been so much deceived with 2nd Classic Vibe stuff.

Meanwhile. I just 'transferred' my "non-QC passed" Squier CIC CV60 Precision Bass rosewood neck onto a new parts-bass that I assembled yesterday with the following parts:

- Light relic 2-piece Alder body finished in Lake Placid Blue (2,1 Kg or 4,63 pounds) that I got for a real good price (220 euros shipped or 240 usd)
- Fender '58 lacquered anodised gold pickguard
- Fender '63 pickup
- Allparts threaded saddle brige (the bad little threads that are useless because the strings will slip...)
- Artys pre-soldered electronic with 0,1µF capacitor
- Jazz Bass knobs cause my Precision knobs are meant for metric pots and won't fit 😅
- Elixir Stainless Steel 50-105 strings
- 4,04 Kg total weight (8 pounds and 14.507 ounces) with unfortunately a slight neck dive because rosewood necks are often on the heavier side

Now some photos of the sweet blue thing (and next to my Walnut beauty):

Bought a Vintera 50s P pickup from Stratophere and ask my luthier rewind it to 11.6K ohm, which meet the K value to Dimarzio Model P that i love in my Matt freeman P.

Install the Vintera pickup yesterday with 1 meg volume pot / 250k tone pot / .047 uf cap that already in my MF P.

Dang ! She has the Model P like character but tone slightly to Vintage site and airly. The G string also sound metier than stock pickup on my Vintera 50s P.

Will share the sound clip soon ......

My Squier CV60 Jazz Bass is getting upgrades that cost more than the price I initially paid for that perfect piece of music.
Today was a 3-hole plate (Fender) with concentric pots & knobs (from a Squier Paranormal Jazz Bass), that I wired to VVT (dual tone is REALLY BAD).
Tomorrow will be Gotoh LOLLIPOP tuners, and later on this year (late June, early July) will be a 265euros Avantguard pickguard. More expensive that the original bass itself... Oh well 😍

Nice! Squier CV 64J .

Bought a 70's CV P bass used and changed out the wiring harness and put a new PV 63 Fender PU. Thing is a beast now!
Beautiful! What about another pickguard?

Nice! Squier CV 64J .

Squier CV '60-'64'-'66 you mean?
60 for the concentric pots, 64 for the veneer rosewood board, 66 for the upcoming Lollipop tuners (years of introduction)

Pretty pretty, but if that bass was sold to you as "Classic Vibe", it isn't. It's actually a 2007-2013 (1st gen) Vintage Modified 70 Jazz Bass :)
Hello! Thank you! Yeah. Seller tell me about that. Then I made a request here and got this info. I am very satisfied with the bass. May be if i change adapters with some fender vintage model will be better, but the Laney... oooo titan

As long as you are happy with it, that's the most important thing!

Good eye! The knobs and lighter tint on the neck give it away!

Still, a good bass is still a good bass, so...

And headstock logo, and bridge pickup placement, and logo on pickups :p
