should i join now or after i get done super modding it?

TMBTC,

What strings are you using on the 60s CV P?

I have been researching Fender 9050ML Stainless Flatwounds, D'Addario ECB81 Chrome Flatwounds, and GHS M3050 Precision Flatwounds.

I am looking for the old vintage 60s sound and flats seem to be the way to go. I am, however, a little worried about increased string tension as I am fine with the feel of the stock Fender 7250MLs that came with the bass.

Honestly a dorky picture i did not know it wa sbeing taken otherwise i would have struck a cheesy 80's pose . This is my only bass besides my 1st bass which is beat to hell and worn to the fretboard frets. I got this used with a seymour duncan pickup allready in it for 235$, had some straplocks from my old bass i put on. Its my only bass and see's many gigs , recordings , band practice , personal practice it does it all. These basses are solid nothing stops it , i had to wood glue the strap locks screws in because the dense basswood body was getting stripped from alot of jumping around.

Anyone who says parts on these are inferior and junk are just bored and wanna mod a bass, there is nothing wrong with the stock parts the tuners hold fine tune.

btw i got a clear piece of plastice at home depot for 2$ and am going to cut a clear guard.

I've got a CV 60's P on order from Samash since the Blackfriday sales. Does any one know when they're coming. I'm really learning the virtue of patients now. Really looking forward to play this one.
