you need this p/n:0077335000 (fender part number)

The stock ones do not work

If you find someone who can get it let me know. All my local shops cant seem to be bothered ordering it.

Thanks Jhtjon.

If you're having trouble getting hold of one where you are I don't like my chances here in Australia.

I think I'll contact Squier direct & see how I go. Will let you know how it pans out.

Thanks. Dav Bass-
They don't clank against the frets they clank like a ringing sound, like Rotosounds, which I find unsettling. Even a light touch makes the sound

The info about Fender making the strings makes sense to me too because I've used XL's too and haven't had this problem.

I'll see what happens with the Slinky strings. I'll bet the sound will go away.

I must admit the Fender strings did feel a bit lose to me. I put that down to a lighter gauge though. I didnt have any clank problems though.

Maybe they are a bit brighter than your used to. I think i know what you mean as i found the same thing with Elixirs recently. Just way to bright for me.

Just a quick update.
Ive now done three gigs with my CVJ. The second two with the new Wizard pups in.
I went for a set of 84's but im finding them a bit too moody. Ive just sent them back for a re wind (or replacement for a set of custom wounds) and they should be back in by the next gig.
The CVJ certainly has balls now, and fills the mix out almost P style, im very impressed with that, but i do think the stock pups had a smoother, maybe more scooped tone that i quite liked. Im hoping the new (new) pups will be a bit of both.

I've been looking through pages and pages, but has anyone changed the pickguard on the Fiesta red P? I like the Pino look but I have some other pickguards laying around, wondering what might look good...

I put a white pearloid one on mine, initially. removed it moments later. in theory it was to 'enhance' the fiesta red. in reality, it DETRACTED from it. put the stock, tort one back on.
