Squier CV Jazz vs. Fender MP Jazz

What would you choose between a Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Bass or a Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass?
Both seems to be freakin' awesome basses, but I can't decide. I play some Hard Rock/Alternative type of music. As for my tone I just boost my mids and a some highs. Now I play a Squier Standard Jazz Bass wich I really like, but it's time to upgrade. I can get the CV arout 152$ from a friend and the MP is about 608$ new.

If you have the money for it I'd go with the MP Jazz.

Classic vibe jazz - no question !

They're both great basses and feel quite similar.

The MP has a very aggressive tone and is much louder. Probably well-suited for hard rock and/or metal.

The CV sounds much like a classic jazz - i.e. softer vintage tone. It still can get a good jazz growl to it though.
