My $12 Tort Pick Guard arrived
Like a prior poster advised, the guard need to be opened up to fit over the neck. In my case, I used sandpaper as I do not trust myself with a dremel. I removed the protective covering first and proceeded to sand. There was some fraying to the surface and I was surprised to learn that there was a second protective covering had to be removed! Here it is with apologies for the light reflections (pun):

Yes, I had two protective sheets on mine as well.
The color combination you have, of tort on black, is what I would like if I bought a second Jag SS for my B-E-A-D tuned bass. Looks classy.
As to the "load-in/out"; imagine picking up a bucket of nothing! Seriously, I have next to no upper body strength and have no problem lifting my amp.
If my new band i successful, and I have to transport my performance amplifier, I'll seriously consider augmenting my Rumble 40 with a larger one. My old Peavey Mark IV Series, 800 watt amp head and separate cabinet tires me before I even start playing. The Rumple 40 is shockingly light, and I'm sure, relative to their size, the larger ones are as well.
Just as a note, I mentioned the second protective covering in the event that some who installed theirs notices some "problems" showing up later.
I have a Rumble 100 for my Jag SS. Still really light and sounds incredible. No rattles, very quiet operation too. Warning: I don't play shows so how it sounds out in the working world is another thing!
If you need power and light weight the GK MB combo's are also worth a look at if the Fender stuff doesn't do it for you. My MB212 is only 40lbs and is stupidly loud. I doubt i'll ever need to push it even with a hard hitting drummer. The 200w MB112 is only 30lbs.
As i discovered, the Rumbles and the GK MB's are very different sounding amps so i'd suggest trying them out.
I was looking for something with plenty of grunt as my Peavey had died and I have a very good practice amp. I did A-B testing on the Rumble 500, the new Rumble 800 and the GK. The GK (using my main P bass) just sounded better to me. Each time I switched from a Rumble to the GK it was like taking a big blanket off the Rumble.... so much more clarity from the GK. The Rumble's also sounded less solid.... at volume they sounded like the cabinet or the frame was vibrating a lot whereas the GK just sounded a felt more tight for want of a better word.
I was able to get a decent sound out of the 800 with so many digital options but I don't feel confident gigging something like that. You play around with all those options, find a good sound, get to a gig and find that it doesn't work in that room or in a mix. I just want three or four band EQ, gain and volume..... not a million amp and cab sims that change the character of the amp.
If you can i'd suggest that if you don't need so much grunt that you test the Rumble 200 and the GK 112 (200W) and just find out what sound you prefer.

In my quest to replace the J pup on my Jag I've considered a MM Stingray as a good candidate. I've seen other posts stating the MM pup is in a different spot than the Jazz and interferes with the P-pup.
To find out for sure I grabbed a pick of the SS Jag and a SS Stingray and put together this JagRay to see how things line up. From what I can tell the Stingray pup is clear of the P, but does interfere with the metal control panel as seen below, so it looks like it can be done with some finesse.

Stingray pickup placement overlaps over P and touches J. In the Jag SS The pickup goes more toward the neck, with the treble side of the Jag almost matching the bass side of the P.
It will be an interesting mod.
I figured out a way to improve the J pickup volume. I glued a couple of wood blocks to raise the pickup closer to the strings. The screws are too short to get it higher and balance the volume

Here it is with the Stingray pup isolated from its body. I had to nudge it forward a bit so it clears the J but it's close enough to the original position to not matter. In theory one could install a SS Stingray pickup between the J and the P so you get 3 flavors in one!

Regarding the bridge pickup's low volume issue, this is the workaround I came with. My Bridge pickup was too low, I couldn't raise it enough without loosing it completely. So I glued two wood raisers for the screws threads grab something.
The pickup is now 2mm on the treble side and 3 mm on bass side. I went higher without affecting the tone, but I decided to match Fender's specs
Here's the sound clip: First lick is Bridge alone, second is neck, and the third is both. Tone 100% open. This is not my preferred setting but I wanted to give the cleanest sound possible.
The bass is connected to my BDI21 on bypass (just to get the balanced output) to my Komplete Audio interface into Reaper. No EQ and no compression. The strings are DR Black Beauties

Any reason why you're using a 5-string pickup instead of a 4?
