I dig it , but i want more out of it so i wanted to install a P pickup in the neck position. But i dont like red so i am parting it out and looking for another color
I may do some travelling soon, and a souped up cheap SS might be the best thing to take with me. Going to GC tonight to see if it gets me GASing...

Got mine today before I had to leave for work....i love the small thin neck..makes me feel like I've got gorilla hands...the fret ends are a little sharp and there's some finish flaws...but for the price I don't care...had some major neck

Glad you like it. It Rocks doesn't it? Hey. How do you feel, 'Major Neck Dive'? I've asked before but I'll asked again cuz no one has answered. Why does neck dive figure into the equation at all? I just don't understand why anyone would care.

Why not just use the Thread Tools button at the top of the page?
Neck dive personally drives me nuts. If I dont have my arm on my bass it should be level / horizontal to the floor. I found with my ultralites on the ss jag the dive is gone. I also use a neoprene combfort strap which probably helps.
I see that Muscian's Friend is giving away a free Squier gig bag to anyone who purchases a Squier VM bass or guitar through August 30. It's an issue for me because I had a major surgery that left me with some nerve damage and numbness across my left neck/shoulder.
Ever since the surgery, basses with neck dive are uncomfortable to me. Thankfully my particular SS Jag doesn't have much neck dive. I plan to swap out the stock bridge for a Gotoh 201, which should cure the slight neck dive there is now.
*Time to load up for my afternoon gig. #*&^$ roadies never show up on time.

New one on me. Not an issue on mine, it's solid. Maybe the assembly robot got too enthusiastic and over torqued the thing.
Your link doesn't work, but I thought I saw the SS one doesn't have that rebate. Yep, just checked Short Scale doesn't get the Gig Bag.

Yup, my earlier post here said I put La Bella Deep Talker 104's on it and had to widen them too, and I deepened them also so the action would be lower.
Hey, I'm looking into these and was wondering if there was a way to just solo the P pickup/if it would get that classic P tone? Also about how big are these (about the size of a standard guitar or what)? I kinda figured since this is a club specifically for these you guys must know about them....
Just turn the volume all the way down on the bridge pickup to solo the P.
Size wise, they're somewhere between a guitar and the average long scale bass. It's body is really just the same size as a long scale's, it basically just has a shorter neck.
