This was my Squier. Now it has a MIghty Mite Neck. Fender Pickguard (that I painted). Hipshot Tuners, EMG Pickups, and a BAII bridge.

And thanks for the paint job compliment. I was going to paint it like Oz Fox's guitar from Stryper. I went a different route, but used the same colors.

It's not really a Bass strap...
Officially it's a Guitar Strap... but I liked the look and feel of it and it's 4 inches wide... was the widest one hanging on the rack...

I bought a Squier P-Bass in 1984 (#SQ04957) and have played it ever since. It has been upgraded with BA2 bridge and SD Bassline P/J 1/4 pounders. I had active EMG's in it for awhile but they sounded too "boutique". Pics below are of 2 70's Vintage Modifieds that I bought and created hybrids of. take note, Squier, you missed the boat on the sunburst/maple thing I created.

Count me in! Im new on the bass. I just bought a Squire Modified P-Bass and I love it! It sounds as good with an even better low end than the Highway 1 I played right next to it. Not that I can play much but a couple of songs was enough to convince me this was worth every penny. I got it for $230 or so OTD at my local GC on Black Friday. Im going to have flatwounds put on it and have it set up next week. I want that Motown THUMP!!!
The Highway 1 was a beautiful bass too, but not worth double the price and then some to my ears. Im a newb though...
