Sweet bass. The fretboard looks very light and dry, though. Looks like you need some Fret Doctor on there.

btw How does one maintain an Ebonol fretboard? What cleaners to be used?

You are right, kinda light indeed.
I did however lemon oiled it at least 4 times in the last year and a half.
It was even lighter before.
The sound is very sweet though.

This is an Affinity series P bass I got for $100. a little over a year ago. I have modified it a bit. Old SD pick up I got used for $30. I shielded the cavities, Replaced the 500k pots with CTS 250k pots and an orange drop cap. A Hipshot de-tuner and a Badass II bridge that came from my GL Jazz. and ofcourse the pickgaurd.

This bass played real nice from the start, I just didn't like the sound. Thats why I modded it. Now I love this pollished turd! I gig with it.

I'm in! I wish Fender had Squires back in the 70's! I had to take out a loan for my first Fender p bass ! I bought the Vm fretless! It's a great bass for the money! I LOVE SQUIRES!

Here's a question about my '87 MIK Squier Bullet 1 bass - is there another Squier that has such a fat neck? Width at nut is 1.75", with at 12th fret is 2 1/4" and thickness at first fret is 30/32". That's at least as big as an early Precision. Anyone else seen a neck like that on a Squier? I'm not complaining, just awestruck. I didn't even realize it was that big. No wonder I had such a hell of a time with it when I first got it. I was used to Jazz necks.

I just recently got a beat up 1984-87 MIJ Squier Jazz in Arctic White -- aging nicely.

I've got parts coming in the mail for it right now to get it the way I want: Fender Vintage Noiseless pup's and a tort pickguard. Also, it needed a couple new parts like a new input jack and a set of new bridge saddles.

It sounded great before I took it all apart, I cant wait to get it all back together with the new additions.

Will take pics when it's done.
