I'm looking out for one for my natural finish VM jazz. I have a BAII on my P bass and I like it but I think the Gotoh would be better for the jazz, just based on looks alone.

- black tuners and stringtee
- black knobs and strapholders
- black pickguard-screws

Wow - that looks great! I'm almost feeling tempted to pick up the same bass & parts myself, this is the problem with Squiers.. they're almost too affordable.

What sort of weight is the bass?

Thanks ! These are Schallers (TK-0791-003). Fit nice, but had to drill new holes for the screws.
And yes, I have no intentions of losing the Squier label

While I'm planning to get rid of my re-modified Jag, because I find that I'm mainly playing my Fender fretless Jazz, and a tiny bit less the Fender fretted Jazz, those recurring pictures of natural finished VM 70's Jazzes keep nagging me (the amber P as well, but I'm not so much a P guy): those basses look absolutely stunning! Never played one, though... Couldn't there be set a temporary stop on posting such pics? They're killing me! Aargh!
