Squier Vintage Modified or Squier Classic Vibe series?

Bought my CV Jazz several months ago and have nothing but good things to say about it!

Hats off to Squier for making really cost effective basses. I reckon they both sound amazing for the price.

I am hoping that they will come out with more color choices like they did with the CV Strats and Teles. I would jump in a second on a burst CV Jazz with a nice tort pickguard

Thing is, the CVs' cost is very close to MIMs here in my country

Hi!

I'm interesting into this Classic Vibe model. It seems to be a great quality price ratio but I wonder how much should I spend to have a better model than the Classic Vibe?

I'd like to know how much difference there is between this model and a better Jazz bass model in the Fender range.

I bought a Classic Vibe 60's Precision, threw Rotosound flats on it...and it's a great bass. I'm using that one for blues/classic rock/country.

I'm thinking about trying out the Squier CV Jazz bass or the VM Jazz bass (or even the Fender Classic Series 70's Jazz bass model) to see if the neck size would work for me.

My problem is that my hands are too big for most Jazz bass necks. I've had two Jazz basses in the past and I ended up having fretting issues (fingers would "miss" notes and such)...which led to my selling them in favor of P basses.

I might have to "make" a new J bass with a P neck if I can't play one off the shelf.
