Squier VM Jaguar Bass

Sure, that is one way to go.
Classic Vibe Jazz etc have the "vintage high mass bridge". The Jaguar does not, as it is a "VM" bass.
I prefer the sturdier bridge on the CV, but it is an easy swap.
(Actually, I think that in the "Vintage Modified" series, a better bridge would be in line with the upgrades many owners do, whereas "Classic Vibe" should be more true to the original design and it is flimsy, era correct bridge?)

It sure seems real, and it's also up for grabs in the US... Man, I'm gonna have to fight the GAS for this thing...
I think that it's easier to throw in some Squiers instead and watch if we "bite".
If we buy first the Squier and then they do the Fender we'll have tu buy it too!!
I probably will end up getting one. I love the Jag body shape, and I already have a VM 70's Jazz that I love, so I can't imagine not being all about the VM Jag.

always loved the jaguar body shape; the matching headstock is killer; always wanted a PJ bass, and these duncan designed pups sound really good; and it's damn CHEAP!!

I just bought a VM jazz with badass bridge and the duncan design pups and they sound pretty good, well made pretty standard single coils which are pretty quiet in terms of hum but have some nice growl in them if pushed. Obviously the woods are different but the pickups aren't. Lets just say I'm not gonna rush out and replace the duncan designs but they may well get swapped when I can afford it, until then they'll be fine I think
Yeah, they're not bad at all. I replaced the ones in my VM 70's Jazz with Quarter Pounders, but only because I found a set for cheap. I don't know if I would do it again if I had to pay full price for the set.
