Heh, heh...the Jimi Hendrix method I see! :cool:

I have the body stripped, the dings and dents filled and am working on the final sanding before priming. Next up will be the neck...doesn't look like it is going to be any easier than the body. :crying:

Whelp, she's finally done, strung up and playing like it's cool. 8)

One of the most difficult challenges I've taken on yet, and one of the most rewarding. I ended up snagging a neck from Warmoth, as I never really cared for the neck that came with the Squire. I LOVE the Warmoth neck, great feel, perfect quality and looks sweet too, bonus! :wink:

The most major mod I ended up making, was I had to mill .070" off the floor of the neck pocket for it to fit a standard Fender spec neck properly. Not a huge deal, but a big deal when you've never done something that major and only had a drill press and a router bit to work with. It turned out great, can't even tell I ever touched it. I hind sight, I wish I would have only removed .060", as I am out of adjustment on my D and G saddles and would like to lower the action a smidge more. :?

CAR for sure. First time I've done a CAR finish, it wasn't too tough really. I wish I could get a decent photo of it that shows the metalic nature of the paint...but alas, my refinishing skills are superior to my photographic skills... :)

I used ReRanch Nitro on everything starting with Sander Sealer, White Primer, Shoreline Gold, Candy Apple Red then finally Clear Coat. I used one can of everything except clear, where I used two. I wanted to make sure I had no sand throughs, so I went with two.

Thanks man, I almost bought a Geddy Neck for it, but wanted the traditional Tele HS shape...so I ordered the neck from Warmoth to get the best of both worlds. ;)

Dude, if you only knew how close I came to doing that...I just couldn't bring myself to cover up all that pretty maple. I do like matching HS's though... :)
