SR 755 Availability? (AKA: Backorder Bingo)

Back around Memorial Day I placed an order for an Ibanez SR 755 through Guitar Center. When I placed the order, it was on backorder with an availability date of roughly a week later.

Since then, the availability date has been oscillating back and forth between various dates that range from between 24 hours and two weeks in the future.

Has anyone gotten their hands on the 2010 model SR 755 through any other vendors lately? I'm wondering if it's Ibanez or GC that has the wonky supply chain.

If anyone does have one, is it worth the wait? Or should I be looking for another five string in roughly the same price range?

i got 1 from the store in May....the finish doesnt take well to abuse its not clear coated or anything+ it being from GC i only noticed ALL of its visual flaws upon getting it home....i was pretty excited when i bought it and kinda high from spending all that $$$ ya know....lookin back i wish i woulda ordered the 705 in Natural i saw 1 a week later and its the same bass minus walnut and gold/black HW .....but im done with non -clear coated instruments after this 1 cause i HAVE to friggin baby it too much....besides the 705 hss mahog/maple body also which sounded great, dark+snappy bright balanced......unless your in need of GOLD hw, like i was at the time and want a body with the protective shell DEF check out the 705 instead.....

also just my expeirience the Bartolini system Ibanez is/hss been using pisses me off....this is my 3rd Ibanez bass with Bartolinis and the bass on the EQ is always too high, where it farts the amp...or too low where its too thin....but im a sucker , its just a learning expeirience to tame them YMMV.....
