SR706

Hello All,

Does anybody own one of these? How do you like it? Any info would be great as far as build quality and playability.

Yep, I have used the search button. I just wanted to see if anybody else wanted to comment on the bass. There was not that much said about these. I know a lot of people love the SR506. How does the SR706 compare?

It's a rock solid bass and the necks are really fast. I've been trying to save my chips for the more expensive SR5006E. I had the SR406QM but, it's going to be traded for the Artcore hollow body. If I didn't have the better made Schecter studio five and would have kept it. However there are better Ibanez's than the Schecter.

Great bass you just need to play one to see.

I imagine it's pretty close in quality to the SR755, which I regrettably and hopelessly fell in love with about a week ago...

If you ever played a SR506 the SR706 has the same feel. The tone is a little tighter in the mid bass tonal range. The workmanship is very good at this price point.

I have tried this bass in GC a few times. When I picked it up
for the first time I immeddiately fell in love. The neck just
feels like home. I need one bad. I have never owned a 6 string
or even thought about owning one till I picked this baby up. Even my wife thinks I play more smooth on this bass.

I know Ibanez uses Elixer strings on their basses. What guages come stock on this bass?
