Okay so I've been looking for a bass for my budget and it seems like I've came down to Ibanez soundgear. I know ur thinking that the SR755 is more expensive and therefore much better, but what stops me from making my decision is the color. Haha, i like both pearl white and sunburst.

So which do you think is better, and also, do u have any opinions about the SR755 and SR 535?

carrots..??

i own the SR755 and regret it daily, wishing i would have gotten a gloss finish, look at the SR705. the natural flamed maple finishes are glossed over and clean up bettrr than an Ibanez flat finish....also i see you want gold hardware remember gold/black can be added later for +/- $60.....i added gold Gotoh tuners & Ibanez B20 bridge w/ black knobs to my SR300 ROM, and the quality of stock Ibanez gold plated tuners is quite poor.....the transparent black flamed maple SR705 prolly looks best with the CK ( cosmo black ) hardware anyway.....the 2010 SR705s have that sweet beveled neck joint which shows a little jatoba/bubinga.......beautiful ...the logo ( SDGR ) on the SR755 is sorta flat stamped on ink on the wood and fades and looks crappy...whereas the logo on glossed Ibanez basses like the 705 is metallic and shiny -under- the clear, looks much better and will last

i voted 755 though

does the finish on the sr755 make it less durable or harder to clean? yeah i was kinda worried about that.

i was thinking about the sr705 but brown sunburst and white are my two favorite color choices. :hmm:

do u have anything to say about the sr535? what type of finish is that compared to the sr755 and 705?

yea it doesnt clean up well and the walnut is very soft...im gentle with all my gear and the 755 is def a "stay @ home" piece, she picks up every little bump + gets dull milky look wherever i touch it that doesnt go away after a wipe-down like my cleared basses look brand new after few hours of playing i hit em with micr-fiber .....i too think pearl white and naturals are 2 of my fav colors + gold/black HW ...and a painted or natural grain to match headstock is a must.....

i have only noodled in store on the SR535 and the only thing that turned me off was the painted neck...otherwise its perfeclty fine...what a waste of jatoba/bubinga tho right?+ was wishing it had black knobs, but thats no biggie....

yeah the painted neck looks kinda weird. I do plan on changing the tuners on the ibanez when i do get one. I like the gold knobs actually. thanks for warning me about the 755 finish, now to continue making my decision. haha
