Stacked Knob Height

Why can’t preamp manufacturers make their stacked knobs shorter?

Sadowsky 3/4” tall - not bad not great
Aguilar OBP 7/8” tall - not good
Nordstrand 1” tall - Nad
John East 1-1/8” way too tall! Terrible

Anyone else bothered by this? I feel like 5/8” should be max height.

For a guy who is a Fender stack-pot nut, Number two looks ok for me, except the lower skirt could be a tad wider.

For reference, how high is the top of the center shaft on a stacked pot?

Also, how much knob height would you like each knob to have to make them easy to grab?

I think Sadowsky has it almost right, I would say 3/8" max ht for both

Can you not lower your pot a bit with the jam nuts?

No because the nut won’t have enough thread

Ahh, going through the top, not a plate or guard.
