I still use it for low volume basement jamming, sounds really good on guitar or bass with a drive pedal in front of it.

If it didnt weigh so damn much I would have got a 4 ohm extension cab and just ran with it for years... had to go modular though for our local gig staircases.

Crazy how those come loaded with a 4 ohm Black Widow 15", with the option of adding another 4 ohm BW to get the full power. I bet it could be a contender with the full rig.

The plan is to run a SAnsAmp BDDI into the power amp at this point.

oOnly issue is a dicey High Gain Input jack.

Day 1 of recording the new album today! We've decided to do things a little differently than before. We're going to record the drums live off the floor with everyone playing along with no click track. Then we'll go back and track bass and guitars after. The hope is that it will still have a live feel with slight tempo swings and a little mic bleed along with the precision that comes with tracking stuff separately. We'll see what we get this weekend and decide if this approach is going to work or not.

Saw an old friend last night, been a decade. He's a bass player, who, since having 6 kids, doesn't get to play much anymore. Had a really good time catching up, talking doom/sludge/other.

Best laugh of the night came when he told me he was on his way to see some famous black/death metal band, and had to bail because he had to go to his little girl's gymnastic meet. I called him names.

You guys are plenty good enough to pull off a "live from the studio" album. Keep it real, man!!!
