Stage 81: S/D thread

Morning Gents, just finished up bringing my Teisco neck pickup only guitar back to life. Sprayd down the old scratchy pots, soldered up a new input jack, polished the frets and bridge, oiled the fretboard, slapped ait set ofthe Daddario 12 gauge on, and cleaned all the years of dirt off the body and neck. It's alive, could use new pots, probably slap her on ebay tonight.
Hey Kawai! I listened to an hour long radio interview on Youtube about some dude shooting a bigfoot in Virginia, if the dude is lying he is the best liar or storyteller in the world, will post the link later using the cell now.

Big foot face

He tasted like gamey veal. I had him with grilled leeks and a saucy Bordeaux.

ok, thats much easier than what i was describing. when i think quads i think double of what your guitarist was doing haha. so those are just simple 12 12 12 12 tap deals, just find the two notes hes doing, and either harmonize with them in the appropriate key, or follow him note for note. all you should do is anchor your left finger on the fret, and tap with your right hand on whatever note creates the right chord.

if that makes sense haha.

Word! Kinda what I'm doing now. So I guess I'll keep on doing it. Playing the notes on the G string and holding the root with my left index. Then with my right ill flick the string to start hammering with my left ring finger. I'll try tapping with my right instead of the hammer ons.

Edit: reading back that sounds kinda dirty.

So last night, after practice I found out we never were asked to play this Violator gig thing. Turns out the venue scheduled two shows tonight and we're supposed to open for the second one, a "[my city's name] bands night" kind of thing, at some point after midnight.

The fact that we'll probably gonna play for an empty room remains unchanged though.

Edit: dialed a cool mid-gain fuzz tone with the Pharaoh that ravaged everything during practice. It will sound even better tonight, the soundman's great there.

I've had two M9's they're pretty great for looping and ambient stuff. The distortions are terrible, I'm not a fan of the delays but the reverbs and modulation are pretty great.

I ended up selling it (twice) but they're definitely fun to mess around with.


I'd never use one in place of my real effects in a band. But a lot of fun for home/studio use.
