Deth - thanks. The 66 is loaded with 3015lf's the dually has the fatials in there.

Got the dunwich last night, got to plug it in to make sure everything works right but didn't get much time to mess with it more in depth. Going to go over to my space tomorrow to mess with it for awhile.

It was sounding great so far in the little I did get to play with it.

The only thing I don't like about our Ren Faire is the elephants. Why? It's like, let's keep some giant animals, beat the **** out of them with these rods, and then bring them near people... Recipe for disaster.

My guitar player bought a sweet drinkinh horn at the last one. Me jelly.

Got up this morning and just needed to drive, didn't care where.Decided I was going to listen to music I have ignored for a while.
Powertrip was the ride out and 1919 eternal was the ride back. Cool just setting the mists in the forest up here.
Not sure why I got up and shaved just to hang out in a car by myself though.....

Sitting in a deer stand got me thinking, since my peavey 215 (218) had those separate compartments for each speaker i think I may hack that son a bitvh in half. Those peavey 215s are easy to come by so if I want a 218 again I can find another one. I'm keeping the grill my guitarist made me in case of that, but I want a 1x18 rather than lugging that tank of a cab around with only one speaker in it. And this way is cheaper...

So we played last night...and we some how got roped into headlining even though it was our second show and we only have about a 30min set. Seems like none of the bands around here ever want to headline. We played well enough considering the amount of booze n stuff we consumed while waiting to play and although there wasn't that great of a turn out, we got a bunch of positive feedback. The sound guy was a joke. We couldnt hear **** on stage and he made us face our cabs sideways?!? I guess the guy is like some old burnout former heavy metal roadie. The dude had a bike chain for a belt!

I let one of the other bass players use my rig so I finally got to hear what it sounds like from in front...made me love my set up even more.:bassist:

No shows next month...heading in to do some recording instead for a possible split ep with another local band.

Best feeling in the world. I love gear-sharing not so much for the sake of musician mateship (although its great to end up in other bands' good books) but because I'm always wondering how I sound from the crowd. Feels so good when you hear it and it sounds just as good, or better, than you initially thought.

The worst sound guy I ever worked with was some guy who looked like he was stuck in the 80's....like, really badly. Still had a ponytail (despite going noticeably bald), eyeliner and a lone feather earring on one ear. He was a nice guy and all...but he just sucked as a sound guy. At times my bass would boom through the PA, other times it would just drop out from the mix entirely. The vocals were always WAYYY too high, cymbal levels were completely imbalanced and he insisted on mic'ing my cab despite me telling him I have a DI. He wanted it to sound more "natural".
