That's exactly how I run my Bergantino 's' stack. I like that positioning. It seems to tighten up the low end a bit with the 12 on top, and I find the slight fatter tone of the 12 a little more pleasant being closer to my ear than the 210. Just IMO.

I definite heard a difference in the low end as compare to my original configuration although I can't quite describe it. I'm still trying to internalize it. Maybe tighter is what I heard. My bandmates loved it which is a good thing.

What is the reasoning for possibly replacing the HS210 with AE112? If it is more low end you won't get it IMO. It really is about surface area of the drivers and 2-10's are greater than 1-12. If it is more punch, form factor or just more punch then I agree. If you want more low end and still retain the mid clarity/low end punch replace the AE112 with a AE210 and put the HS210 ontop of the AE210. I just ran my HS210 Vertical on top of my EX112ER all weekend and I thought it was great. Man I love bergs.

All in all, the tone was great. I guess I just needed the day (and some aspirin due to a very late night) to internalize what I heard. We did tape last night's gig, so I'll get a chance to hear what it sounded like. The HS210 is staying and like you, love Berg cabs.

Thanks for the correction. I guess what I was tryting to say was the volume of air you are moving is related. Would that be correct? I mean the volume air moved would be a function of Sd and Vd correct?

+1 on the volume of air, but that's the result of total cone displacement, which is the product of area and excursion (Sd x Xmax) and not area alone.

So... I have a Berg AE410.
How do you think a HS210 would sound with it ????

I already know T.Bowlus absolutely loves the AE410/AE210 but this AE/HS combination intrigues me as most bass gear does.

Thanks, I was reading about your experiences with the cabs. I am eventually going to try the AE or HS 210 unless Mr. B. and his forward thinking comes out with something more interesting for 09.
