Steinberger Club

Yes, and the seller uses two of my photos (which I've posted here and elsewhere) to sell them. Why care for copyrights, the internet is free… :spit:

I know you're just kidding, however when one cares about copyrights they can add a copyright sign to the photos before posting them, then anyone copying the photo will get it automatically. Photographers usually make them so nice and transparent that they're hard to see, like on this pic (see the bottom): Link Removed

Legally that copyright sign or watermark is completely meaningless. EACH pic is property of the owner (and thus copyrighted to him) automatically. NO pic on the internet can be copied freely without consent or a corresponding license notice (public domain or creative commons) from the owner. ESPECIALLY not for commercial use.

Sometimes I don't want to spoil the beauty of the pic (which people sometimes want to use as wallpaper on their screens), which is OK for me. Just commercially motivated re-use without even asking or caring where it comes from is not OK.

The molds have been sold at ebay a couple of years ago...

The molds are no problem, it's quite possible to make new ones.

So many people (including myself) want XL back that I actually did dare to ask Ned himself if he could start making them again. He kindly replied that no, he couldn't. Unfortunately, Gibson has the sole right to produce Steinberger instruments, and they have no interest in licensing or selling this right to others, even to Ned himself. I suggest that we stop bothering Ned and come up with some more productive suggestions
