Step Children Moving Back Home - How To Cope!!!

Lay down the law. Your house; your rules. Don't like it, then they can get the heck out lol.

This right here, but presented more diplomatically. I sure felt this way though.
I was a stepfather and dealt with a similar situation. My wife backed me up when it mattered and the child moved out when he wasn't willing to follow some basic principles of conduct.
It sure was a delicate and complicated situation to navigate at first. What helped me was a mild sprit, being reasonable and accommodating, yet firm.

Do what my father did to me; threaten to forge their names on some enlistment papers. I knew he was willing to do it, too... It's too late for you, but... my parents actually moved when I was in military tech school - and left no forwarding address. Just to let me know they were serious, I guess...

25 and 23 year olds move back into the house after 5 years of peace! Annoying habits, noise, mess and a complete disregard for others ('their' house) how to cope??!!
They are adult age and should be treated as such. Best to set up a house rules agreement, in writing, and have them sign it PRIOR to moving in. Also, in the event they violate the rules, the penalties should be stated in agreement also.
