Sterling by MM Stingray sub pickup wiring

More feedback from me, in case someone else also goes for this mod.
Mod is easy to do, but I feel this pickup was voiced for series connection. In parallel it sounds sterile, low and high mids are gone a bit too much. It's like: too much mids (series) or too little (parallel).
So I got another inexpensive aftermarket pickup and paralell sounds just right. Will try some other too.

Mine came with the green & red wires soldered together and tied off, black is signal ground and white is signal hot.

I want to make sure everything is in phase when wiring parallel.
