sterling ray 34 vs SUB whatever they are called

hey guys just looking for some honest opinions regarding these two basses , I wanna know if its worth forking out the extra few hundred bucks for the sterling or if the sub models are good , ive had a play of both today but would to here from some guys that own either or still do , thanks heaps
also I live in Australia and am looking for the best spot to buy brand new basses online
