Steve Harris

I'd agree that he is the best. He's one half of the reason I play bass today..(the other 1/2 is Cliff Burton)..The album that got me hooked back in the day was Powerslave..esp Powerslave, Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, and of course Back In The Village..Nothin' fancy, but the drive and up-tempo feel his style creates is amazing!

Steve Harris is the reason I'm a bass player today.

I don't play like him (I should be so lucky!), I don't know many maiden tracks, and I'm not a metal fan any more. But back in the day he was influential enough to make me pick up the bass. And for that I salute him.

Nice one 'Arry ;)

Amen. Back in '84, the first tune I ever learned was Flight of Icarus. SH was the man back then.

What, no! It's completely serious ;P
Why would I have posted it otherwise?

Haha, check out some of the other "shred" videos, they're awesome :)

LOL well I have also seen some people on forums who have not had the brain power to figure what was going on LOL

First time I saw Maiden was on the Number of the Beast tour. They OPENED for the Scorpions :eyebrow: who were riding high on the Blackout tour. Wicked double bill but I was there for Maiden. Actually I think a band called Girlschool played before Maiden.

Whoops, me too, Steve then Cliff, thats what started me off!! But it was always Steve that made me want to play bass, Cliff came later!!
