The main tool they were using with fully blind people that I saw when I was in the program was just readback programs to read aloud whatever you'd written/are reading. You can add braille stickers to the letters on the keyboard or one with braille imprinted on it when first learning it as well- the physical typing was the easy part.

I've talked with blind people about blind jokes, they don't see anything wrong with them, why should we? :D

The last drummer in my band was blind. Great guy awesome drummer. One time we played a gig at Whistler resort. After the gig we had to find our way back to the hotel on foot. I am terrible with directions and the lead singer/guitarist was drunk out of his mind. So guess who finds our hotel? That's right, the blind drummer... white stick and everything.

I was amazed.
