Stickers / Marker / Tape For Pedal Settings

White pencil for dark pedals.
Regular pencil for light pedals.
Sharpie also works well and comes off easily with mineral spirits......but feels a little too permanent since I'm always adjusting.

This worked for a 1x15 amp I use when needed as a "monitor". BASS is cut on the amp as FOH subs and drummer's monitor give me ample bass, this amp is for clarity at/near my vocal mic, tilted back(Hartke clone but better IMO).

Note: running Helix, usually ampless on stage with RCF monitors works fine with our PA. Thin gaff tape with Sharpie marks. Helix I/O is marked with labels using the same tape/Sharpie method.

try a pack of STICK-A-BILITIES from Hobby Lobby. I like the Black and Gold Arrows. Works on pedal and bass knobs.

I use the white scribble tape that is sold for mixing desks, write on it with a sharpie.
For those nice looking but annoying silver knobs where I can’t see the arrow, got circular stickers that come on a sheet in various size and color, stick those on top of the unreadable knob and use a sharpie to make the indicator mark.
I like the idea someone mentioned, tape on top of the knob, set everything where you like it, and draw marks pointing up. For quick recall of a setting that would work great, problem for me is that I tend to mess with my settings so prefer to just see exactly where the knob is pointed.
One of my main uses btw is to make labels for the knobs, those are often nearly impossible to read. Yeah on some pedals I get used to what’s what, on others I’m having to remind myself - is gain left and output on the right, or the other way around?

The best I’ve seen is little strips of white or back tape on top of the knobs. Vertical stripes on your settings, so everything should be at 12 o’clock for your settings. That way you can easily spot something moved!
