Same as this one ?Pretty sure there's vendors with old stock still. And probably likely EB has a massive stock of them.
I even have a pack in my spares box.

So I caved and ordered one this afternoon. Had to go with black as it’s my favourite. If I’m lucky it will be here tomorrow.
I think it better to have a finish that will tint naturally with age as you own it rather than a fake yellow tint. My 1980 has taken 43 years to tint this much:-

Hmmm… maybe send it into EBMM for a fix. They willSo mine came in today. First impressions were really good. Everything looked flawless and this one only weighs 8.9 lbs. I plugged it in a noticed right away that it sounded brighter then my Classic. I did a quick setup to match my Classic and it was still brighter sounding. This is we’re it gets bad. I tapped on the pole pieces with a screwdriver and only the bridge coils are working. Not good. It still sounds so amazing though which is the weird thing. The other thing I noticed is A note on the E string dies after about 4 seconds. All other notes don’t have any dead spots. If I put my capo on the headstock and the note rings out properly. I am so bummed as the weight, feel and looks are perfect. I’m definitely returning this one but haven’t decided if I want to try another.

Man sorry to hear that. At that price everything must be perfect. That’s the sort of thing I’ve come to expect from Fender but not from EBMM. Knowing their customer service I’m sure they will fix that up for you, but very disappointing. So mine came in today. First impressions were really good. Long and McQuade in Canada.Where did you buy such a light weight one from ?
Will you get another one?I just returned it. It’s a really nice bass but it needs to be perfect to justify that kind of money. Even if I got the pickup fixed I would still have the dead spot on a very important note. My other Stingrays have no dead spot and I always look for them when buying a bass.
For now no. Maybe I will change my mind later but I am happy with the three other Stingrays I own. Will you get another one?

Probably throw in some freebies . I bet turn around time will be quick and they should cover shipping .
