Stock Ibanez strings? Elixirs?

I've read that Ibanez's come stock with Elixirs. I just played an SR1205 (Premium model), and I'm wondering if anyone knows if those Elixirs would have been the nickel or stainless steel ones?

Had to Google a bit since Ibanez tells you quite a lot on their website but couldn't find the strings on there. According to this website they are elixir: Invalid Link Removed

While Googling around to see if stock Ibanez strings are nickel or stainless steel Elixirs, I found this, which surprised me:

They may be rebranded Elixirs, but curious ifanyone knows... They are supposed to be coated rounds.

Hey I bought a Sr600 natural ash back in July it came with Elixirs I would say they are nickel or nickel plated steel they are bright & have that nickel color to them if that makes sense, I still have them on I play out twice a week and practice daily.I play finger style & slap they sound and look as good as when I first got the bass. on humid days they felt a little sticky finger ease fixes that. I don't know if I'll buy another set but I want to see how long they will hold up.
I probably gave more than you wanted to read.but I say they are nickel plated steel with nanoweb coating not just steel.

I've bought 4 Ibanez Premium basses and all of them came with Nickel Elixirs. Great feeling string but they aren't cheap.

I'm 99% sure they're the nickels - that's what I've read somewhere. I have 5 Ibby's, and many more in the past.

I was pretty certain they were the nickel ones as well. I just wanted to make sure because the tone was pretty nice and even, but when I soloed the bridge pickup and played over it, I wasn't getting quite the bright trebly snap I'm used to with DR Fatbeams (fairly aggressive sounding SS rounds) with the single coil bridge pickup soloed on my current bass (Warwick Rockbass Streamer LX).

I am aware the Warwick with a typical single coil bridge pickup in the 70's Jazz location, and a maple neck (rosewood board), would be brighter than Ibanez SR1205, with the wenge/bubinga neck, and the wider aperature Nordstrand pickups, but I was surprised at how little of the bitey treble frequencies I was getting.

Coated nickels would certainly explain this.

I may be getting a 6 string version of this bass and may put DR HiBeams on it to add some more of the sparkly top-end.
