You got it. I think some of the Epi "Pro" models with the neck-thru design are mahogany as well, but they are more pricey. The Epi site says this model has a mahogany body and maple neck, but I'm not sure how accurate that is. I thought it only had mahogany "wings" with an alder center. Not sure.

I did color the screw holes, but the holes still annoy me a little when the light catches it. My background is restoring Italian vintage racing bicycles, so my attention to detail is a little OCD. I wish stuff like that didn't bother me, believe me!

Also, wanted to mention that I was super skeptical of Chromes at first. Usually I like high output strings. I use EB Cobalts on my ESP 5 string. Absolutely LOVE the chromes on the T-bird though. Very different sounding basses of course. The ESP weighs like 11 pounds it's a behemoth, but the low B is gut wrenching. The T-bird is darker, thumpier, growlier, but doesn't go as low as the ESP. The ESP I use mainly for drone/sub-bass stuff where sustain is key.
Looks like I am getting my Squire on, well Made In Mexico Jazz Bass. Wondering if any of you jazz bass guys added the series parallel switch to their jazz, and if they prefer the series better.
I was going to do this before I decided to just put a P in. Are you trying to cop the P tone with the switch?
I totally dreading fixing this ripper. It's already been modded with a toggle instead of the varitone. I been trying to find a layout with the switch but no luck. Ill have to take pics and hope the rest of TB can help.

Update on the new Ibanez ES2 (Echo Shifter) delay.
After playing around with it all weekend, most of my intial thoughts still stand.
1. There's no reason a delay this cool should be so cheap.
2. Great dark delays with really nice smooth repeats that degrade in a very pleasing way
3. Great oscillation options, can do the infinite wash under what you're playing without ever going into self oscillation (although it can definitely do crazy self oscilations).
4. Good modulation section.
5. Tap Tempo
The only down sides I've come across is
1. I wish the slider for delay time was sturdier, it doesn't feel cheap or anything, just in comparison to a normal pot, it feels weaker.
2. Can't set tap tempo when the unit is bypassed
3. No option for trails, not the biggest issue, but it's a nice feature that a lot of delay pedals are including these days.
But those three minor little things really don't outweigh how cool this delay is. If you're looking for something with tap tempo and dark analog repeats. I would definitely look into this (way better than the Supa-puss which is $100 more, never owned the EHX deluxe memory boy so I can't compare that one, everything else is about double or triple the price range for an analog tap tempo delay).
