Seriously. I have 40 acres of private wooded camping property an hour away and the summers here are short but glorious. I have a deep driving compulsion to spend as much time outside as possible. I really like playing but if it means missing more weekends of camping I probably shouldn't commit to anything. Damn.
I think it should be a given if you have 3 months or less of nice summer, be outdoors. Plus it makes sense because people needs things to do in the winter, what is better than going to see a band to kill winter blues
Hola good sirs. Another day, another 8 hours of soul crushing enslavement by my "employer". Went and jammed with the punk band last night and had a lot of fun. Haven't played much lately and hearing my bluebeard thunder at band practice levels was really inspiring. Going to keep jamming and maybe get in on some shows with them in between all the other madness going on. Jammed out some sabbath and metallica and stuff which was fun. Still have my eye out for a doom/stoner thing but haven't caught wind of anything and the last thing I want to do is lead another project.
Nothing like a Northern summer and even better a Northern summer night. It's funny I lived in Florida for four years and now Virginia which is pretty mild. I don't miss PA all winter but soon as spring rolls around I get all nostalgic and want to be back home in PA.
Punk bands are ****ing fun. I was jamming Minor Threat on the drive home last night and got the itch to start one up. No time though...
Florida may be the sunshine state, but Colorado beats it for most sunny days. The only thing that really sucks here is the wind.. When its 0 degrees F, no problem. When it's 0 with a 40mph wind, holy hell.
Just make sure you pack the blankets no matter what time of year you go camping. It gets pretty chilly at night when you are at this altitude, even in summer.

That's a very cool program. I'm absolutely baffled that something like that is played on the radio at 7 pm in Canada. America sucks

college radio. The station actually has a few good shows. Friday Morning Cartunes is pretty cool for a lot of Kraut Rock and obscure Psych.
I'm sitting here writing out a ton of punk songs I'd like to play. The list is longer than I anticipated. Hm.
I'm starting to wonder if my joyos from wtfaccessories will ever get here. There's probably someone in china using my ultimate drive as a doorstop right now.
Going through are thousands of megabytes of recordings. Found some old riffs that I don't understand why we just let die. Going to have to revisit them.
Anyway here is a really cool recording from early 2011, unplanned jam that worked out pretty well. This as close to Earthless as we will ever get.

Both my guitarist and drummer are in other bands....I secretly and selfishly want both of them to fall apart.

I used to listen to a lot of operation ivy, minor threat, fugazi, rancid, face to face, nofx... went to the first warp tour when it came around and was so psyched. Beds for the scraping was the first song that made me look at my guitar as something that could make fun sounds.
