stoner/doom bassist thread part 2: suspicious smoke

Right now I've got a Fender Bassman 250/210 and a Peavey Mark IV head with a matching 2x15 cab. The Peavey can go to 2 ohms... so I'm thinking of adding a 4x10 cab. I'd have 300 watts going in to a 215 and a 410 and 250 watts in to two tens. My janky ass rig of doom will finally be perfect... and will finally be ready to go along with my guitarists' triple recs and a loud drummer. ****'s going to be epic.

Well, guys... 4 days until the biggest show I've played to date!

Link Removed

Show starts at 2, bands start at 5, and we go on around 8:45. Supposed to be around 1000 people there this year and we got the rolling thunder truck trailer/stage!

We just played a show with Muffler Crunch, pretty cool stuff for a duo. Electric Magma is pretty awesome too. We thought about playing SHOD and make a Canadian triumvirate but the cross border thing can be a hassle and we are lazy;) Should be an awesome weekend, lots of great bands on the bill.

The SHOD guy added us on FB so we thought we were getting an invite but it never came :( Been wanting to see gates of slumber for awhile. I booked borracho on one of our sidebar shows a few months back and they were killer. Amazing synergy between their bassist and drummer. Make sure you go see eyeballkid's band nagato! Have to check my schedule but hoping to make at least part of this, even though I hate driving to krug's.

I may have, of late, stumbled across a great stoner/doom rig. Epi Thunderbird (with flats) --> Bass Big Muff --> Cry Baby Bass --> Marshall MB410h + MBC410.

As soon as I have sounds clips of our latest (kinda doomy, very stonery) song I'll ask what you guys think of the end result.

Pics of said marshall rig! You don't see those very often for bass.

Here it is, with my the aforementioned pedals and my P Deluxe:

and with the Epi, sans pedals:

I have since added a Jeremy Clarkson mask. That, along with the football scarves and bottle of Jack and whanot (in keeping with the thread title :hiding:hidden in the back provide the tone.

This is the Epi/Marshall in a non doom role:

I took a picture of my rig at practice this week.

Carvin SB4000 (which I run passive)
Traynor YBA-1
Ampeg 810e

Sound City B120 and GK RB800 stacked up behind it, not getting used right now. The Sound City might come back into play if I pick up another cab. I've been thinking about getting a 2x15 for a while.
