Stoner/Doom Bassist Thread Part 8 - Insert witty title...

Well after some internal discussion we decided to say thanks for coming out but we want to look elsewhere to the vocalist. Sometimes dealing with musicians and getting along can be difficult ;) But mainly one member was just not feeling him so the search continues. I am still really stoked about how the songs are coming along though!

Also, I am selling the Magma tomorrow so I think I'll be ordering one of the Greenboy Duallys from Mike Arnopol. I have to buy my fiance's wedding bands (yes, plural. she wants two) this month so it's going to be a kick in the balls but I really want one of these cabs and I can use the rings as an excuse for me to spend money on myself.

I'm not sure who's gear budget I'd rather have. Yours or Beebassdude's???

Hey man, I live by the mantra of "sell gear to buy gear." I still will only have 1 amp. And if the Dually is all it is cracked up to be, I'll sell the bassbombs considering one of them will be heavier than the Dually and therefore no point in keeping them. And I only have 3 basses, which cost me $200, $300, and $350. Granted I'd put them toe to toe with any $1500 instrument but that's besides the point.

In my opinion, he sounded a little "forced".

Been working on the house everyday. Just caught up here. Eyeballkid and Laz both recordings are sounding awesome. I think it's a good choice looking for another singer Laz, just didn't sound right. Not bad but just not like his style. Had the Electric Amp running the other night with all my pedals and it's sounding pretty heavy. The white rat makes that thing sound intense. I got practice tomorrow so I can dial in a sound for the band. Oh and I might be hooking up with a pretty cool thrash band if all works out. They play out a lot which would be a nice change from building up a band from the ground. So if everything works out I'll be playing in a heavy Doom band and an aggressive thrash band! That is all

these are live and unrehearsed... first time we even played em... These are ideas that will be worked, but I still dig em as is...

This isnt Nagato, but a new project that for now is IJN. Its me and the guitarisr from Nagato with a drummer that has only ever played metalcore....who'da thunk?!

The bass amp is the Bassman 100t thru a 215...

laz.. I could only listen to yours on my phone/headphones... I couldnt hear you on it... I need to listen thru a better setup to give a proper review.

finally got a chance to listen. I really like it, has this epic quality to it. bass sounds great too, surprisingly punchy for a 100 watt head.
