Not that it matters but I always like the sound of the SS acoustic vs. SS Sunn. Actually Dennis is using an acoustic 220 as part of his setup since the fender bxr started screwing up.

I wish they made a higher watt 800 rb. Maybe that's what my custom preamp should be based on...in like 5 years

Yeah dude the old 800rb I had was one of the coolest amps I ever owned. I have a old GK115bc combo that is cool, but doesn't have the same feel as the 800rb.

I wish mine wasn't broken. And trust me that 300w GK is loud like 300 watts SVT. And you can run it dirty and low volume like those clips I did a while back. A older metal hardware one just popped up local for $250

I want that. Alas I got other stuff that takes precedence, and I don't really need it for anything.

But man, those things are just awesome.

I always wanted to do a Jesus Lizard 3-1x15 setup with an 800rb. Would be sweet hahaha.

Supposedly that era stays cleaner longer and the plastic jack version breaks up. Nicely I might add . I have a 115 (GB bassic, tl606 type cab), rat, GK, and a sunburst jazz, I'm ready

Ugh. I don't need it. I want it way more than I should, I need a small cab (berg NV115), a synth, and maybe an ECG...

I'm gonna end up getting an ECG, aren't I? Dammit I wish I knew how to stop wanting things.

I still kinda want a single coil p bass. I could never afford the real deal. So I keep searching for the next best thing. I was going to go up to Chicago to CME this weekend with some fellow bass nerds, but plans fell apart.

I was at CME the other week, always a great shop. It's where I got my 78' P-bass after lusting after it every time I went in there for a year.

i took in a 64 p from a family friend of mine at the GC up the road from CME. Stop in sometime and say hello if you're in the area.

I had to stop going to CME...too much awesome vintage gear for my GAS to resist.
