Stoner/Doom Bassists 51: Back To The Future

I'd rather have a large, efficient cab than a large inefficient cab. Louder.

^This, I've done both. So much happier and louder with my two medium/large efficient cabs, than I was with my to super huge inefficent cabs. Also my back doesn't hurt anymore...seriously I tweaked something in my spine moving the emperors and has constant lower back pain for about year. My best friend who is a D.O. ended up readjusting my spine which eventually fixed it.

Also Kevin from ECG got back to me, we're still discussing details, but it looks like I'm gonna be putting in an order for and ECG. I don't know how I'm going to afford it yet, but I'll have to make it work.

Maybe if I save enough soda cans I can trade them for an EGC... :D

Practice was cancelled for some reason. Trying to find a band on craigslist is like trying to take a crap in a small box. It just aint happenin man. I don't want to play country, top 40s, pop, or be in a crappy wanna-be metalcore band. I want to play loud music that people enjoy, is that too much to ask? :bassist:

*Shrug* That dingwall is pretty killer. It would also depend on if you are loading everything yourself, and how long the set is.

I've seen bands with huge back lines play 20 minute sets and load/unload themselves. Hell I saw Dawn Treader play someone's basement with a literal wall of amps surrounding their cello player. I can moved entire rig by myself no problem. The only thing keeping us from getting more cabs is transportation. We need a short bus

If it works for them thats cool. Personally I dont want to spend more time in load in/out than playing. Moving big cabs is actually easier than small cabs IMHO, untill you reach a flight of stairs. Last thing I want to do is take a fall down a flight of stairs with a big cab landing on me.

Good excersize! Carrying 180 pound 408s up the velvet lounge steps is manly work!
