There is actually a tiny, tiny kernel of truth to that. People with Eurasian ancestry, if I recall correctly, have a very small portion of neanderthal DNA. Or so it's been recently discovered, apparently.

New advances in carbon dating shows that Homo sapiens, Cro Magnons and Neanderthals overlapped in their existance, so it is fairly easy to assume that some cross breeding would have occurred.

True but those three religions have alot in common, although IMO Judaism has the least to atone for. They don't work as hard to recruit as the other two, which is where they go wrong every time.
Historically Judaism is a racist religion it is the faith of"gods chosen people." Dogma like that tends to rub people the wrong way.
Racial separation is stupid, no two ways about it. Anybody with a background in science will tell you limiting your breeding pool that much does more harm than good.

Racism is also stupid in that humans are actually one of the least genetically diverse mammalian species. As well as the fact that among humans, there is more genetic variation within Africa than outside it.

As for Judaism, the thing about "god's chosen people" sounds a little stuck up, but whatever, I still like it better than the other two Abrahamic religions due to the lack of trying to recruit me. Also, if you've read the old testament, "chosen people" seems to be a euphemism for "favorite people to be a total douchebag to."

Oh I am not defending Varg or his beliefs. Maybe it is unimportant but I just find it odd that articles keep referring to him as a Neo-Nazi. Why not just call him nationalist extremist or something like that?

Yeah the racial separation thing never made sense to me because the cat is out of the bag. Norway is one of the most homogeneous countries in the world which makes sense how someone like Varg could fool himself into thinking that racial separation is somehow possible.

Because he at various times has been a neo-nazi. I don't know if he still is, but he has been, before.

What are some good options for jazz basses around 6-700$? Passive preferred since I have this retro I would dump in it.

70's Ibanez and various Peaveys?

Yup that's about it, and yea you can't see the true magnetic field but even if it seems off it'll work. People love music master basses until they realize its a strat pickup then say the pole pieces are out of line and its weak...

Usually neck pickups are a little less hot for balance with the bridge pickup, since the strings are stiffer at the bridge.

My 4001's neck pickup, under the cover, has six pole pieces. Doesn't seem to matter. People just want things to look right and are bothered when they know something looks "wrong," even if it's hidden.

Holy shizz.
I`m not sure what temperature the majority of you start to feel like "it`s too damn hot to do things" but I`ve found mine.
It`s been up to 93 degrees this whole week and isn`t going to cool down much.
To make it worse,me and my girlfriend took a random week of vacation to do stuff with our kids. So Buffalo`s hottest week of the summer is our week off from work.
I took a 5 block walk this afternoon to my local super market. Once home, I peeled off my t-shirt. I was surprised to see that I made a Rorschach test on my Tee from back sweat. Uhg.
I`m afraid I`ll find the sweaty Shroud of Turin in my undies.

For me, anything above the low 80's and I just feel like dying.

Yes, I know, for many that's not that high. But I was born and raised in the bay area, and we just don't do temperature extremes here. I don't even like it when it's 75. Much too warm.

Speaking of, when I lived in the dorms last year there were several older people like late 50's, even a 70+ lady studying photography. I guess when you find out retirement isn't gonna happen, you get student loans and ride out your golden years studying for "free" food and a place to live.

Makes me feel less bad at finally finishing my Bachelors at 35, but then I worked full time and went to school part time for years. Yeah I can't figure out the whole work till you are 70 retirement deal, I am half-senile at 41, and they world only needs so many Walmart greeters, what is everyone going to do, studying photography till I drop might be ok, lol

3 piece instrumental band, members of Bitchwax, Monster Magnet, Sasquatch.

We need to practice more.

I just saw these guys at the El Cid in LA. Pretty amazing stuff. I'm usually not into instrumental, post-rock, stuff; I usually find it wanky and boring. The bass player, Collyn McCoy was able to keep my interest through the the longer parts of the songs. The bass and drums lock in super tight.
If anyone out there can catch them live or pick up their CD, I'd recommend it.
