Awesome! I hope You dig it. I'm thinking it'll sound really nice with Your faital loaded Bassic. It was a great amp for Me, for the year and a half I used it. All said, if I hadn't bought the 1000 watt version, I totally wouldn't have sold it. As You know, I was planning on keeping it (can't have enough amps, haha), but You were looking for one, so I figured I'd hook You up with the best deal I could on it.
A little teaser of the artwork that fellow doomer Stephen (MICKUSS) is doing for us.

Thanks for letting me twist your arm on the sale a little lol. I know I will dig it as I have been haunting the one at GC in Richmond. Whenever I get my try out a different bass to diddle on over there that is what I plug in too, just seems to have that flavor or mojo that matches that ellusive bass tone floating around in my head. Just can't believe I am bassless right now and that is landing tomorrow, guess I will have to live vicariously with a guitar and my Octron for now lol. Or buy that Jaquar I was telling about but that damn GK 800RB for so cheap I hate to pass on either. Come on parts for the Tele bass, argh!!!
Yea Man, being bassless sucks for sure. I take it samass never got back to You on that P bass. Yea, I'd have a really hard time passing up that 800RB at that price, too. At that price, if You didn't use it or dig it, You can sell it PDQ and recoup Your funds and then some.

Exactly, get the orange and RB, get some dirt cheap bass or wait to noodle and keep or profit.
A sub $150 squier bass to leave around and do tests on?
Yeah Sam Ass for sure, well the two employees I dealt with anyway, they never sent me the invoice through paypal like they said, they had my email and my cell. I am kind of Karma about buying things too, it shouldn't ever be difficult or I pass on it. Yeah I figure I can keep the RB as a spare or flip it down the line for a second bass. The MP Jaquar PJ like new with hardcase and little Fender Rumble the guy will take $200 for, I could use the little Fender Rumble for Micah Chicken Neck's Roland drum kit. Decisions, decisions. There is also a Dixie Dave model(lol) Squier II MIK P bass, the black with no pickguard in mint shape for $100 plus shipping that would make a nice spare pbass. Going to try and get the tele all roughed out put together, so I can finish sanding it and start tru oiling it, so I won't be baseless too long, just like to sell things before I buy things.
Corey, what sound city amp is that in your picture?
Yep, I agree.
The samass, that's fairly close to Me seems like a nice enough store, well kept and all (doesn't have a hell of a lot of bass stuff, so I might go there once a year, or so). Folks that work there seem nice enough, but didn't strike Me as a very motivated crew, when I was looking at a used Ric they had in there. After they let Me stand around staring off into space for 20 minutes, waiting for someone to get it from the display behind the counter, I decided to move along. Might have had something to do with My F'em if they cant take a joke approach to things, or My appearance of not being extremely wealthy, that didn't prompt a "hey this dude wants to spend some money" reaction. So, yea, I'd be inclined to agree with You on the "if a deal is to hard to make, it ain't worth it" train of thought.
Yea the Modern Player with the practice combo, sounds like an awesome deal as well. If I came across that deal, I'd probably jump all over it too.
Hi. I'm not Corey, but that's my Sound City 100 below the Sorado. Both of those have almost matching build dates from '68. Oddly enough my YBA-3 is a '68 too, now that I think of it. Hmm... I'm breaking up my pattern with that SVT, haha.

Started trying to learn some Iron Maiden. Jeez I suck. It's been so long since I tried to play fast... that and I never was good at the gallop anyway.
It's time to woodshed. No band stuff going on, and my current roomie is pretty good at guitar. He has a weird Melvins-ish style. I'm used to straight forward playing. So jamming with him is hard too.
Going to learn some Maiden and Megadeth songs. Then probably look for some lessons. Ed Friedland teaches here I've met him a few times friends of friends type of thing. I have plenty of books, I could learn a lot on my own. That is if I can actually dedicate at least a few hrs a day to actual practice. Bought one of those Tascam things to slow down mp3's, should be getting here Friday. It's more comfortable for me to suck quietly. haha.
Man I bought that Ed Friedland Reggae Bass book and that is humbling me, that one drop and wait for it feel, and the players that slightly change a riff from measure to measure is hard to memorize.
