My favorite thing to ever come out of Texas. That's a good eye considering the grainyness of the photos.

On another note. What's the best way to record a very loud practice? Our practice space is pretty small, probably 12x10 (wild guess there). I've tried using my galaxy s3 but it just doesn't cut it. Honestly it sounds like total ****. My drummer has a zoom h2n but while it sounds a little better still not that great and doesn't pick up his kick drum. I don't know how much he's messed with the gain on the Mic though, and I haven't fuct with it yet. There's not much room for a "optimal" placement.
I need something to listen to between practice days.

Yeah I just don't get how one musician can tell another how to make his art. I mean there's a difference between constructive criticism and friendly advice, and that b*******.

You know those guys would flip out if we told them they were making their music wrong and were just being jerks for not being loud enough.

Exactly! Here's an idea. If you don't like the thread topic, don't write anything in that thread!!! When someone who plays loud music asks ANY question, the answers don't need to include things like;

Hope you have a strong back

Hope you wear hearing protection

Your sound guy will hate you

I've NEVER needed more than a 4" speaker and 6 watts, EVER!!!

Conan the Barbarian, Terminator, Commando, Predator, The Running Man, Total Recall, T2 are pretty much the essential Arnold.

Also, is everyone aware of the band Austrian Death Machine? Guy from As I Lay Dying tribute band to Arnold.

Me and my old guitarist used to joke about starting an epic metal band where the lyrics would just be us singing the plot to Arnold movies then these guys first album came out.

That's more like a PA! I've used a couple F112's or even F115's for home stereo. (No subs...though these things go pretty low). Overkill for most, but if you have nice neighbors it can be fun :)

Exactly.

The OP didn't ask if he/she was too loud. If someone can't weigh in on the OP's actual question without making stupid comments about them being too loud, then the obvious answer is to stay the **** out of the thread.

Also, there seems to be this assumption on TB that everyone is playing gigs with PA support, or playing coffee shops. Idiots. I've played a number of gigs now with my doom band. There hasn't been one that my bass was in the PA.

"I only need blah blah blah"

NOBODY CARES! The OP wasn't asking what you need, 410/212 guy! Because the OP isn't you! Very difficult concept, I know.
