Have a lead on an Ampeg 810 via CL. It's USA-made, seller says he got it in '03 or '04. Some tolex dings in the back but overall nice shape. Any thoughts on that, boyos? Listed at $600.
I think that would make it one of the dark sounding cabs. Personally I'm not a huge fan. Having said that whenever one was provided as backline I just had to boost the treble a bit more than usual on the amp. $600 is a bit on the high side maybe.
$600 is high IMHO, but I personally don't think ampeg has ever made a bad 810 ever. Well classic series anyway 
Doing some more research; I asked for the serial no. I'm thinking that it is one of the "darker" ones, which isn't necessarily a horrible thing, but, if so, I may try to talk the price down.
Of course, I was actually keeping my eyes out for a 215, but now I'm travelling down this avenue...
I have a '73 square back and a '96 &'00 both made of booger wood. The '96 has slightly brighter speakers but I love all my cabs. Supposedly the 2012??? Is the newer non dark cab. So if it's made in Vietnam I think it's "better". Anyone else concur?
Edit: looks like if it's made by loud tech it's "less dark" and has plywood and better speakers

Plan on DOOMing in the new year...gonna hook up ever amp, to every cab I got at the space, dime them, add fuzz, and when it turn 2014...BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Bask in the frequencies, hopefully open a DOOM time paradox or something.
I wouldn't shell out much extra for 3D, if any. You're going to have a severe lack of content that will take advantage of it. The industry has already moved past in home 3D. 4K is the next big fad.
Got two of the S&S BB shirts today, a L and a M b/c I wasn't sure how they'd fit. I'm keeping the M. Anyone want the size L at cost? I tried it on and folded it back up. PM me or send a homing pigeon or whatever.
